I've used FreeBSD personally and professionally for almost 30 years. I believe my first install was in the 2.2.x era. I've spent a lot of time in the UNIX/UNIX like world. Besides FreeBSD, I've worked with AIX, HP-UX, Linux (primarily AlmaLinux in the last few years and CentOS before that), Solaris, and a tiny bit of System V.
FreeBSD is home.
I tend to spend a lot of time with Perl and Bash.
